ABOUT DIGITAL KNOWLEDGE REPOSITORY OF BEST PRACTICES

SKOCH Development Foundation, is a Section 8 Not-for-Profit Company registered under the Companies Act, 1956, and Registered under 80G and 12AA of the Income Tax Act, 1961.

The Foundation is granted to work on a research project to identify best practices in Tribal Affairs under Ministry of Tribal Affairs (MoTA), Government of India vide its sanction letter F.No.15025/11/2021-TRI dated 4 March 2022.

SKOCH Development Foundation will identify, evaluate, recognise and document best practices related to tribal affairs from across India. Such best practices are identified, documented and awarded with Adi Puraksar.

Objective

To create a Digital Knowledge Repository of Best Practices in Tribal Affairs through an awards-based process. This includes:

  • To create of a knowledge portal of identified best practices related to tribal affairs.
  • To award and recognising tribal best practices.
  • To create and encourage role models that provide a reference point.
  • To create material that may be usable for Information, Communication and Education.
  • To encourage research in the domain of tribal affairs.
  • To provide field-research based inputs
  • To create institutional memory of what works and lessons learnt.
  • To help replicate and scale.
