There is a need to bring in a sense of urgency into the Inclusion Agenda. Interventions need to be crisper and more out-come oriented. There is a need to form horizontal and vertical linkages within the government and outside such that there is a significant silo-busting and de-duplication of efforts and resources impact that puts India on a higher equitable growth trajectory on one hand and ensures that our digital competitiveness as a nation is not further eroded. Increasingly, policy dialogues are also missing perspectives of the marginalized – the very people that public policy is supposed to help. In this background we made 1st of September 2011 as Digital Inclusion Day with the underlying theme of Digital Deepening.
